Memories and Magic Mini Scrapbook
Denise Clarkston and Lauren Johnson
How will you commemorate your experiences at Infinitus and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter? What about all of the pictures you have accumulated with each book release party, movie releases and all of those other HP events you have attended? Join us as we show you new techniques and tips to help you construct your mini scrapbook. Each participant will receive a free kit that will include everything needed to complete their Memories and Magic Mini Scrapbook. The kits will include a finished 6x8 album and all the embellishments needed to decorate it, as well as a tutorial with instructions to recreate the album. Both new and experienced scrapbookers are welcome. The workshop is limited to 25 participants.
Denise is a huge fan of Harry Potter, Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean. She helps with guest relations at the Dallas Comic Con conventions in the Dallas-area and has even spent time in Chewbacca's hot tub - unfortunately he wasn't in it at the time. When she's not torturing patients at her day-job as an exercise physiologist, she's teaching dance, scrapbooking and card-making. Denise is an accomplished crafter and one of her crafts has been accepted for the Harry Potter Art Project. As a member of the HPDFW meet-up group she has been luring others into crazy ideas for a while and is more than happy to share the fun with fellow HP fans at Infinitus. Denise is a full-time servant for her poodle-mix, April May June, whose name is bigger than she is.
Lauren Johnson's interest in Harry Potter started after sneaking in to see a midnight showing of “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”. In less than a week after exiting the theater, she had immersed herself in as much Potter fandom as she could. Years later, with volunteer experience in the Muggle world as well as from Prophecy and Portus, Lauren is very excited to be Co-Registration Chair for Infinitus with her Potter loving partner, Christina Gonzalez. Lauren and Christina happened to meet and fall in love during Portus. Lauren and Christina currently reside just outside of the Fort Worth, TX area with their spunky cats, Oliver and Elliott. When not volunteering with HPEF events, Lauren is busy as the Chapter Chair for the North Texas Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. She is also the Supreme Leader as well as Recruitment Officer for the Evil Hufflepuff Army.
